Heavy Rains to Lash North Karnataka in Next 48 Hours—Here’s What to Expect!
Hubballi: North Interior Karnataka is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours, according to Dr. R.H. Patil, Principal Nodal Officer of the GKMS Unit at UAS Dharwad.
He explained that the departure of the southwest monsoon from India typically begins around September 17th in the northwest, but this year, there has been a delay of 5-6 days. Currently, the monsoon has retreated from West Rajasthan and the Kutch region of Gujarat.
However, in Karnataka’s north interior region, particularly in the districts of Belagavi, Bagalkote, Vijayapura, Kalaburagi, and Bidar, rainfall is expected to exceed previous forecasts for the upcoming week.
Dr. Patil further noted that, similar to the past two days, moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated across North Interior Karnataka over the next 48 hours.
